Supporting Veterans Through Disaster Recovery

Extreme Weather Survivors exists to bridge the gaps between resources that already exist to support veterans after a weather disaster.

We provide survivor-centered support that complements, not duplicates, existing programs, providing long-term support to ensure veterans are not left to face recovery alone.

We’ve developed this comprehensive Veterans Outreach Toolkit designed to serve as a centralized roadmap for recovery. This resource brings together:

  • Federal, state, and nonprofit resources

  • Crisis support information

  • Guidance on replacing critical documents (such as DD-214s)

  • Practical tools to help veterans navigate recovery with clarity and confidence
